Meditation is a great way to disconnect from the world, the noise and just have some YOU time. It's about unwinding and letting go of all the worries and stress for a few minutes every day. The recommendation is to meditate for between 5 - 20 minutes upon waking and again before going to bed to get the maximum benefit but how long you actually do it for is up to you.
You can start off with just a couple of minutes a day and work your way up. Do what works for you, just be consistent.

There are many different apps on Itunes and GooglePlay and there are meditations available on Spotify for free as well. An app that I really like is called Omvana. It has many different meditations on there and there's bound to be one that works for you.
You can BE in the moment whether you are sitting by the sea, in your garden, in the car or anywhere actually.
Being aware of what is going on in your head (the thoughts that you are having) is a great way to start. Take a few minutes now by closing your eyes, and hearing your internal chatter. Listen to it, what's it saying?
