Nicole’s Story
My Story
Hello, I'm Nicole.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me.
As a Relationship & Wellbeing Coach based in Wellington, I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, understood and supported, especially during life's more challenging seasons. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, separation, grief, career change or simply feeling uncertain about your next steps, my goal is to provide a calm, compassionate space where you can gain clarity, reconnect with your strengths and move forward with greater confidence.
For more than 10 years, I have had the privilege of supporting adults and young adults through life's challenges and transitions. Coaching isn't just my profession - it's work that I genuinely love.
Outside of coaching, you'll often find me walking with my golden retriever, Buddha, exploring Wellington's coastline and bush tracks, swimming in the ocean, tending to my garden, reading or enjoying time with family and friends. I believe that spending time in nature, slowing down and appreciating life's simple moments helps us reconnect with ourselves and find perspective, especially during challenging times.
These everyday practices remind me of something I often share with my clients: healing and growth don't always come from dramatic changes. More often, they come from the small, consistent choices we make each day to care for ourselves and move gently towards the life we want to create.
Welcome
Life has a way of teaching us lessons we could never learn from books alone.
Alongside my coaching career, I have experienced many of the same life transitions that my clients bring into the coaching room. As the mother of four young adults, I understand many of the joys, challenges and uncertainties that come with parenting through adolescence and into adulthood. I've also experienced the emotional impact of redundancy, career change and separation after a 24-year marriage.
These experiences have reinforced something I have always believed: difficult seasons do not define us. While change can challenge our confidence, identity and sense of direction, it can also become the beginning of greater self-awareness, resilience and meaningful new possibilities.
Although every person's journey is different, I understand the importance of having someone who listens without judgement, provides practical support and helps you move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
My Professional Background
Before establishing my coaching practice, I built a successful career supporting senior leaders within complex organisations. My work required discretion, emotional intelligence, strong communication and the ability to remain calm under pressure while navigating change, competing priorities and high-performing environments.
That corporate experience continues to shape my coaching today. I understand the pressures of modern working life, organisational change, career transitions, leadership, workplace relationships and the impact these can have on our wellbeing, confidence and sense of identity.
My Coaching Philosophy
I don't believe people need to be "fixed."
I believe that most people already hold many of the answers they are searching for. Sometimes they simply need the right environment to slow down, make sense of what they're experiencing and reconnect with their own strengths and wisdom.
My role isn't to tell you what to do. My role is to ask thoughtful questions, provide practical tools, offer encouragement and create a space where you feel safe enough to explore what matters most to you.
Every coaching journey is different because every person is different. Together, we'll develop an approach that reflects your individual goals, values and circumstances.
